DONNY PAYCHECK
Donny was born 12-16-64 on the coldest day of the year. He grew up in a family of musicians. His grandmother is a classical pianist. He played his first talent show at age 7. At 15 he went on the road for the first time with his parents who were a nightclub act playing songs ranging from Country to Top 40 rock hits. After 3 years, it was over and time to move on. He then started playing in many local acts including, Kill d kore and The Rinohumpers. In 1991 he played in San Francisco but soon moved to Seattle to join Mach Turtle. When the group split in 1993 the band Zeke was formed. The Band toured extensively, obtaining a record deal along the way. They starting by putting out 7" and followed with a full length album on the now defunct Seattle, indie label IFA Records. Climbing the ladder and moving to Scooch Pooch Records, a subsidiary of Sub Pop, to release some more 7"s and another full length album. Finally, in March '97 at SXSW, the Band was getting a huge buzz going, and upon returning from touring thru L.A., the band was approached by Epitaph Records.....More coming soon
