MUSIC SITES

Sounds of Seattle
SOS is a musicians resource that has monthly open meetings for musicians and industry folks. Their web site offers promotion, information, and interviews with locals musicians. More of a resource of the mature musician.

This is strickly a free bulletin board site that has message boards for a variety of topics related to th music world. Great way to give and get information.

BANDS

Attacko
Seattle Original band that has a surfin' metal sound that will rock your melon.

The Melvins
Nobody rocks like the MELVINS.

MIRV
MIRV has the musicianship of Zappa's band and mix Operatic vocals with chunky guitars. Still staying true to creating interesting music without the thought of radio play. The drummer, Jeff Gomez, has always been the funkiest drummer from the Bay.

DRUM SITES

The New Steve Gadd Site
This site is filled with the impressive history of the Most Recorded Drummer ever, Steve Gadd.

Modern Drummer
The drummers resource for many years.

Will Cole

DRUM COMPANIES

Tama
Tama drums and accessories have been great to me and I will continue to play their gear.

Orange County Drum and Percussion
These drums rule! I played a OCDP set on tour with No Doubt. Thanks Adrian. If your drum store doesn't have these in stock tell them to order some.

Pork Pie Percussion
I love the sound of a Pork Pie snare. I have a 6" x 12" maple snare that can cut through steel. Pricy but worth it.

CITY STUFF

The Stranger
Local rag that covers the music scene very well. Often times I do not agree with their reviews but that is why I like this mag. They tell it like they see it.

The Rocket
This is a bi-weekly music mag that covers the Northwest. Lots of reviews, listings, articles, and classifieds. If your coming to Seattle from out of town, look for The Rocket for scene info.
